This over-dyed vintage Persian rug was hand-knotted in the 1970s and has spent decades in beautiful homes, becoming part of many lived stories along the way. With age, the rug was carefully shaved down to a low pile and over-dyed in a sophisticated silver-grey tone, giving it a distinctive rustic and vintage character.
The design features pale grey, silver, charcoal, faded black, ivory, and soft worn highlights. A faint central medallion and border detail appear through the over-dyed finish, creating a quiet monochrome vintage effect. With its 195 x 270 cm size, this rug works beautifully in living rooms, bedrooms, home offices, or neutral contemporary interiors.
This piece is suited to rooms that need texture more than strong colour. Its restored surface keeps the grey tones layered and aged, giving the space a calm foundation with subtle Persian detail.
