About Distressed Rug: This beautiful rug was hand-woven in 1970's in Tabriz, Iran. Later, this vintage rug has been shaved down to a lower pile to make it a faded rug on purpose. Distressed Rugs represent a trend that has achieved a crossover between fashion and home décor. This new look celebrates rugs that are faded, and worn over time; rugs that nestle into homes as if they’ve always been there. Distressed rugs are shaved rugs so they do not have a soft pile.
