This hand-knotted overdyed vintage rug is selected for its shaved wool pile on a cotton foundation, low-pile texture and layered colour finish. The overdyed surface gives the rug a contemporary character while allowing traces of the original handmade pattern to remain visible.
The design features a long runner composition with the original pattern softened under navy and teal overdyed tones, with blue, grey and ivory variation across the surface. With its 85 x 365 cm size, this piece works well in hallways, entrances, beside kitchen islands or narrow passage spaces, where its pattern and colour can become a strong decorative feature.
