This Afghan Khal Mohammadi runner rug was hand-knotted in Afghanistan and selected for its pure wool pile, natural dyes, repeated medallion pattern, and strong handmade character. Its slim shape makes it useful for narrow interior areas.
The design features a dark central ground with red and burgundy medallions running along the length of the runner. The border uses red geometric panels and dark outlining, giving the piece a bold and organised Afghan look. With its 72 x 285 cm size, this runner works beautifully in entrances, hallways, bedside spaces, or compact walkways.
This piece is ideal for adding depth and colour to a narrow area without using a wide rug. The medallion repeat creates visual direction, while the wool pile gives the runner warmth and traditional texture.
