Vintage Overdyed Runner Rug – Ivory Whisper

This overdyed hand knotted vintage runner was traditionally woven and selected for its low-pile shaved wool surface, distressed texture, and contemporary grey colour treatment. Its softened vintage character makes it a versatile runner for modern and minimal interiors.

The design features a grey, charcoal, and smoky taupe overdyed field with faint traditional patterning, a worn surface effect, and subtle tonal variation across the runner. With its 115 x 287 cm size, this vintage runner works beautifully in hallways, entrances, corridors, beside beds, or narrow interiors where soft texture and modern colour are needed.

Overdyed runners are known for blending traditional handmade construction with modern interior style. This vintage piece has been professionally washed, cleaned, restored, shaved to a low pile, and overdyed, giving it a distinctive one-of-a-kind character for New Zealand homes.
