Khal Mohammadi Afghan Runner – Ember Rhythm

This hand-knotted Khal Mohammadi Afghan rug was traditionally woven and selected for its pure wool pile and natural dyes, distinctive pattern character and handmade construction. Its wool texture and detailed design give the piece a strong decorative presence while preserving the traditional character associated with this rug style.

The design features a long runner sequence of repeating geometric guls and compact motifs, with deep red and burgundy balanced by black, navy and ivory. With its 75 x 241 cm size, this piece works well in hallways, entrances, beside kitchen islands or narrow passage spaces, where its pattern and colour can become a strong decorative feature.

Khal Mohammadi-style rugs are known for rich red palettes, repeating geometric motifs and strong symmetrical layouts. The handmade wool construction gives it practical durability while preserving the distinctive character of the design.
