Hand-woven Afghan Kilim Rug, 87 x 137 cm

This hand-woven Afghan Kilim rug was made in Afghanistan and selected for its flat-woven wool texture, vegetable-dyed colour, stacked diamond medallions, and authentic handmade character. Its red border and cool centre create a strong balanced look.

The design features a rust red outer border with turquoise, grey-blue, yellow, cream, orange, black, and pale green details. Three large central diamond medallions run down the rug, surrounded by sawtooth bands, stepped motifs, and side panels. With its 87 x 137 cm size, this rug works beautifully in entrances, bedside spaces, compact hallways, or small colourful interiors.

This Kilim has a bold central path, with the stacked diamonds giving the rug strong direction. The flat-woven wool texture and red-turquoise colour contrast make it a bright handmade accent for smaller rooms.
