Kilim Afghan Rug – Lagoon Mandala

This hand-woven Afghan Kilim rug was made in Afghanistan and selected for its flat-woven wool texture, vegetable-dyed colour, dense geometric patterning, and authentic handmade character. Its compact size gives the rug a bright decorative presence.

The design features a cream central field with repeated small motifs in orange, teal, blue, yellow, purple, red, grey, and green tones. Grey outer areas, orange side bands, and multiple patterned borders create a layered Kilim-style frame. With its 87 x 127 cm size, this rug works beautifully in entrances, bedside spaces, reading corners, or colourful accent areas.

This Kilim rug has a lively all-over surface, with many small motifs creating movement across a small footprint. The flat-woven wool texture keeps the rug practical, while the bright colours add warmth and Afghan handmade personality.
