Instead, the yarn is tightly woven through the warp threads, creating a smooth, flat surface that can be used on both sides. This particular piece comes from the Turkoman tribes of the Maimana region in Faryab, Afghanistan. It’s well regarded for its detailed patterns, craftsmanship, and overall quality. Woven from 100% wool and coloured using natural vegetable dyes, it carries a traditional yet timeless appeal.
