Need help with sizing, styling or choosing the right rug?
This hand-woven Afghan Kilim rug was made in Afghanistan and selected for its flat-woven wool texture, vegetable-dyed colour, dark ground, and bold stacked medallion design. Its strong contrast gives the piece a dramatic tribal look.
The design features a charcoal-black field with large geometric medallions in cream, red, yellow, sage green, pale blue, grey, orange, and muted gold tones. Stepped shapes, sawtooth edges, and angular motifs run down the centre, creating a powerful vertical layout. With its 63 x 190 cm size, this rug works beautifully in hallways, entrances, beside a bed, or bold accent areas.
This Kilim rug has a stronger and more graphic personality than the lighter pieces. The dark field gives the colours impact, while the flat-woven texture and stacked medallions add structure, warmth, and Afghan handmade style.
