Vintage Overdyed Rug – Berry Majesty

This overdyed hand knotted vintage rug brings together traditional weaving, a shaved wool surface, and a bold modern colour treatment. Its low-pile texture gives the piece a cleaner contemporary feel while still preserving the handmade foundation and aged character.

The design features a vivid magenta and berry-pink overdyed field with faded floral motifs, a softened central medallion, and subtle border detail showing through the colour wash. With its 237 x 317 cm size, this rug is ideal for living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms, or open-plan interiors where a colourful statement rug can bring warmth and modern character.

Overdyed rugs are valued for their one-of-a-kind colour, aged pattern detail, and contemporary style. This vintage piece has been professionally washed, cleaned, restored, shaved to a low pile, and overdyed, making it ready to use while preserving its handmade individuality.
