Vintage Overdyed Runner Rug – Coal Patina

This overdyed hand knotted vintage runner was traditionally woven and selected for its warm dark brown colour, shaved wool texture, and understated vintage surface. Its low-pile finish gives it a clean modern feel while keeping the character of a handmade runner.

The design features dark brown, charcoal, and smoky taupe tones with a softly distressed surface, faint traditional patterning, and subtle tonal variation from end to end. With its 130 x 390 cm size, this vintage runner works beautifully in wide hallways, corridors, entrances, beside beds, or long open spaces where a warm dark runner can add depth.

Overdyed runners are valued for their modern colour balance, aged texture, and unique handmade appearance. This vintage piece has been professionally washed, cleaned, restored, shaved to a low pile, and overdyed, making it ready to style in New Zealand homes.
