Vintage Overdyed Rug – Sage Patina

This hand-knotted overdyed vintage rug is selected for its shaved wool pile on a cotton foundation, low-pile texture and layered colour finish. The overdyed surface gives the rug a contemporary character while allowing traces of the original handmade pattern to remain visible.

The design features a faded traditional pattern beneath a muted sage overdyed surface, with olive and grey shifts and softer cream and brown traces showing through. With its 187 x 264 cm size, this piece works well in bedrooms, sitting areas, home offices or compact living spaces, where its pattern and colour can become a strong decorative feature.

Overdyed vintage rugs give traditional patterning a more contemporary look through a softened low pile and layered colour finish. This piece has been professionally washed, cleaned and restored, ready to enjoy while retaining the natural character of a handmade rug.
