About Persian Sabzevar Rug: This beautiful rug was hand knotted in Sabzevar, Iran. The wool found here is amongst the best Iran has to offer due to the high copper content in the water. Sabzevar has a rich history in rug design and has been an important source of Persian rugs since at least 1555. Sabzevar rugs are mid-to-large sized and quality varies with a knot count of between 120-400 KPSI on average.
All vintage & antique rugs that we are selling were produced years ago with love by nomads and are treasures of the past. They have been professionally washed, cleaned and restored. Due to the vintage/antique nature of our rugs, there may be imperfections and signs of wear which rather enhance the feel and beauty of these rugs.
