About Persian Lori Rug: This beautiful Persian rug was hand knotted by Lori nomadic tribe found in the Baluchistan region of Iran and Pakistan. Among tribal rugs, the Lori rug is one of the most notable due to its rarity. Superior wool is used in Lori rugs which is often obtained from flocks overseen by Lurish shepherds, who ensure healthy grazing and watering sources. The rugs are knotted without a draft and completely from the mind. They are characterized by classical ornaments, which are arranged in straight and geometrical patterns. These rugs have a unique character that embodies ancient Persia.
All vintage & antique rugs that we are selling were produced years ago with love by nomads and are treasures of the past. They have been professionally washed, cleaned and restored. Due to the vintage/antique nature of our rugs, there may be imperfections and signs of wear which rather enhance the feel and beauty of these rugs.
