About Gabbeh Rug: Gabbeh or gabba rugs are a variety of Persian carpets. The word Gabbeh means ‘unclipped’. Gabbeh's distinct style of weaving is especially suitable for modern, or contemporary settings. The majority of Gabbeh has a simple plain format sometimes with one or two small animals in their patterns. These rugs are known for their slightly thicker, warm, soft yet resilient pile. They are traditionally knotted in a more rustic way - from natural wool, which together with their higher pile gives them a very special character.
