This Afghan Khal Mohammadi rug was hand-knotted in Afghanistan and selected for its pure wool pile, natural dyes, repeated gul motifs, and traditional handmade character. Its balanced layout gives the rug a warm and formal Afghan presence.
The design features a bright red central field with repeated octagonal motifs in dark burgundy, black, and muted red tones. A deeper red border surrounds the centre with dense geometric detail, adding contrast and a strong frame. With its 200 x 255 cm size, this rug works beautifully in living rooms, bedrooms, dining spaces, or traditional interiors.
This rug has a compact but confident Khal Mohammadi look, with its repeated medallions giving the surface steady rhythm. The red colour adds warmth, while the dark border and wool texture bring definition and depth.
